National Highways to return as principal supporter of 4th annual Highways Heroes Awards

Highways Heroes are pleased to announce National Highways as the principal supporter of the fourth industry-wide Highways Heroes Awards.

Supported by many of the most forward thinking organisations in the sector, the awards are the first time the supply chain and the client body have come together to recognise the value and importance of those unsung heroes we put to work everyday

Set up after a time of unprecedented change not only in our industry, but as part of our everyday lives. We believe this is the ideal time to celebrate the hard work and success of our workers, who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise the heroic actions of them which, until now, has gone unnoticed.

Whether its saving someone from danger or risk of injury, helping a member of the public to safety, or supporting a team member in the face of abuse the highways heroes’ awards recognise individuals who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise their heroic actions.

Taking place at the London Hilton, Park Lane in Soho on 28th November, the awards will not only recognise those who have gone above and beyond their duty, but also those that have helped someone or improved a situation, either in the communities they work in or to unconditionally support fellow workers in their team.

Kevin Robinson, Managing Director of the awards said: “This announcement signifies the power of collaboration which will further highlight the importance of recognising our highways heroes who neither ask for, nor seek gratitude for their unpreceded acts of kindness.”

Adding to this National Highways’ Operations Transformation and Performance Director, Richard Marshall, said: “So many people both on the frontline and behind the scenes have worked really hard in incredibly difficult circumstances during the pandemic to keep our roads safe and traffic flowing. “And every day there are people across our industry who go above and beyond making a real difference to people’s lives, even saving lives, both on our roads and in their local community. We are proud to support these awards and to give our highways heroes the recognition they deserve.”
