MyMobileWorkers confirmed as headline sponsor of Lifetime Achievement Award.

Highways Heroes are delighted to announce that Sir Robert McAlpine have committed to sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement Award award at this year's ceremony.

As a special award, introduced for just this year's ceremony, the accolade will be awarded to an individual who has, throughout their career had a lasting impact within the sector..

The special award will be presented by MyMobileWorkers Managing Director, Matt East, at the ceremony and will be one of a number of highlights at the event, which despite still being in its infancy has become the blue ribband awards for the sector, given that it recognises the unsung heroes who would otherwise go unheralded.

Speaking about the decision to sponsor the award, Matt East said,

"We are honoured to be a sponsor at this year’s Highways Heroes Awards. Highways operatives go above and beyond every day, often in tough conditions, and too often their efforts go unnoticed. At MyMobileWorkers, we see firsthand the challenges they face, from near misses to abuse, which is why we’re committed to helping businesses keep their teams safe. Highways Heroes is a fantastic way to recognise those making a real difference, and I can’t wait to celebrate this year’s nominees."

Echoing the sentiment, Alicia Hibberts, Operations Director for the Highways Heroes said,

" MyMobileWorkers commitment to the sector is astounding and for them to take on the mantle of becoming the sponsors of one of our flagship awards is a testament to the culture within their business.

"Every year the Heroes throws up anomalies in terms of the nominations we receive as a result of the fact that we do not restrict submissions by virtue of a category.

"The Lifetime achievement is now another example of this."
