Highways Heroes unveil special one-off trophy to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the event

5th Anniversary of the Highways Heroes to be marked with a specially crafted rose-gold trophy

As part of the celebrations of its 5th anniversary, the Highways Heroes awards have decided to mark the occasion with a specially crafted one-off trophy for this year's event.

The trophy, which will be rose gold as opposed to the usual brused chrome, will be a one-off, unique to this year's ceremony and will be presented to all winners and highly commended participants on the night.

Manufactured to our own bespoke design the trophies will be expertly crasfted by Awarded2U who have been responsible for the premier league winners medals and many other industry leading ceremonies and sporting events.

Speaking about the decision Alicia Hibberts, Operations Director of the Highways Heroes explained the change and reasons behind it, she said,

"When the Heroes was conceptualised, off the back of the global Covid pandemic it was only ever supposed to be a one-off, something to recognise the unsung key workers who undertake roles across the public highway and the unbelievable acts they selflessly partake in on a daily basis, with little or no expectation of recognition or reward.

"Yet from those small acorns we now have a giant oak tree in what is now considered to be one of the sectors premier, must attend events of the year.

"With this in mind we wanted to recognise the 5th anniversary by doing something which not only reflects upon the journey we, as a sector, have taken but which also marks out our first milestone anniversary.

"The final design of the trophy will be released much cl,oser to the event alongside a number of other initiatives which will deliver greater social value across our sector and beyond."
